My Journey Into Birthwork

My journey into birthwork started long before I ever called myself a doula. It began with my own experiences, the stories of the birthing people around me, and a deep knowing that birth was meant to be honored, held, and protected.

I’ve always felt a deep connection to intuition, healing, and the wisdom of the body. I believe birth is a sacred rite of passage, one that calls us to trust, surrender, and reclaim our power. But I also know that our current birth system doesn’t always honor that. Witnessing the gaps in support, advocacy, and true informed care—especially for Black, Brown, and LGBTQIA+ birthing people—ignited something in me. I knew I was being called to this work.

That’s why I founded Birth Out Loud. I wanted to create a space where birthing people could be seen, heard, and fully supported—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, labor, postpartum, loss, or reproductive choice, I’m here to hold space for you and help you stand in your power

How I Show Up in Birthwork

I believe in a blended approach to birthwork—one that honors both evidence-based care and ancestral wisdom. My practice is rooted in:

🌿 Holistic, Intuitive Care – Trusting that your body holds deep wisdom and that birth is not just physical but also emotional and spiritual.
📚 Education & Informed Choice – Making sure you have all the knowledge and support you need to make decisions that feel right for you.
💛 Trauma-Informed & Justice-Based Support – Creating a safe, affirming space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and underserved birthing communities.
🎶 Sacred Sound & Birth Rituals – Using sound healing, astrology, and spiritual practices to support pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
🤝 Community & Collective Care – Birth doesn’t happen in isolation. It truly takes a village, and I believe in showing up for my community.

My Credentials & Training

I’ve spent years deepening my knowledge in birthwork, holistic healing, and maternal wellness. Some of my training includes:

My Commitment to Community

Birthwork is more than a career—it’s a calling. I believe in reclaiming birth, making it safer and more intuitive, and bringing back the village support that so many birthing people lack today. That’s why I also offer:

🌎 Pro Bono Birthwork for Youth (19 & Under) – Providing free doula services to young parents who deserve loving, informed support.
🩸 Period Positivity Circle – A free community event that teaches menstrual education, body literacy, and period wellness for youth.
🎶 Sound Healing & Birth Integration – Bringing nervous system regulation and emotional balance to birth and postpartum through sound.
Discounts For Birthworkers – Because someone has to heal the healer.

A Little More About Me…

I’m more than a birthworker—I’m a mother, a wife, a healer, a creative, and a forever student of the universe.

Where I’m From – I spent most of my upbringing between Washington and Texas, two places that shaped my love for community, culture, and connection. Now, I’m rooted in the Seattle-Tacoma area, where I’ve built my life, my family, and my work in birth and spiritual healing.

💛 My Family – I’m a wife and mother of three, and parenthood has been my greatest teachers. It’s shown me the power of birth, the depth of love, and the importance of support in every stage of the journey. My family is my foundation.

🔮 My Spirituality – I’ve been reading Tarot and Oracle cards for over six years, using them as a tool for self-reflection, guidance, and deep healing. I’m also the owner of Celestial Clarity, a holistic wellness and metaphysical shop where I offer Astro-Birth Guides, intuitive tools, and sound healing.

🌿 When I’m not holding space for birthing people or immersed in spiritual work, you can find me:

  • Crocheting & Cooking – There’s something deeply grounding about working with my hands.

  • Eating Good Food – I love meals that nourish the soul just as much as the body.

  • Being Outside – Whether it’s near the water, under the trees, or simply soaking up the sun, nature is my reset button.

At my core, I believe that birth, healing, and community are sacred. I do this work because I know what it feels like to need support, to seek answers, and to want a birth experience that feels truly intentional and honored. Everyone deserves that kind of care, and I will always fight for it.
